Thomas Kirk Favero

November 20, 1967 ~ November 29, 2019

Thomas Kirk Favero left us unexpectedly and too soon, in his sleep at his home in Taylor, Utah on Friday, November 29, 2019. Kirk was born November 20, 1967 in Ogden, Utah to Thomas Arnold Favero and Nancy Jean Montgomery Favero.

Kirk graduated from Weber High in 1985 where he competed in High School Rodeo. He worked for South Ogden City for three years before starting his twenty-two year career at Riverdale City. Kirk guided hunts in Wyoming for ten years. He had an eye for spotting big game. This brought him many new friends and fun times.

Kirk was raised on his family's farm in Taylor, Utah. Where he was taught the importance of family, hard work and dedication. Something he applied to every aspect of his life. He continued to run the farm with his twin sons, Cooper and Taylor Favero, teaching them just as his father and Mother had done. He started a successful jockeying career at the young age of fourteen, he had a true talent for riding and training horses. This passion took him to several different tracks where he met and made many lifelong "buddies" and cherished memories. Wherever he traveled he made a new friend and always ran into someone he knew. Kirk and his sweetheart Debbie were lucky to find the same hobbies and passions in each other. They spent their fourteen years together having fun in all that they did. Kirk was a true cowboy at heart. He enjoyed hunting, farming, roping and fishing. All of which he lovingly taught his son's to do and then enjoyed watching them achieve. He called his daughter every day just to check in on her, Preston and his grandkids. Of all his achievements he was most proud of his family. Kirk’s children and grandchildren were the light of his life. He was an amazing father who always let his kids know how much he loved them and did everything he could to ensure they were always well taken care of. He was a loving Father, Papa, Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend.

Kirk is survived by his children, Cassidi (Preston) Delight; Cooper (Kelcee) Favero; Taylor Favero; grandchildren Sawyer and Tyce Delight; his sweetheart of 14 years, Debbie Rasmussen and her sons Kyle and Kasey Rasmussen; his parents, Thomas A. Favero and Nancy Favero; siblings Robyn (Ronnie) Gamble; Kim (Andy) Bunot; Midge (Rod) Ward; Troy (Tracy) Favero; Jamie (Duane) Kearsley; and many loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at the Taylor Stake Center, 2200 South 4300 West. The family will meet with friends Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 6 to 8 pm at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 9 to 10:30 am at the church.
