Tamara Hunt Lewis

Tamara Hunt Lewis passed away peacefully at her home among her family and friends on February 26, 2020 in Plain City, Utah at the age of 75.

Tamara is survived by Brent Lewis, her husband and best friend of 60 years. Together they dug fossils in Kemmerer, Wyoming and numerous locations throughout Utah. Tamara was a lifelong rockhound. Together with her husband they collected gems and fossils from all around the western United States. They together owned and operated Bonneys Rock Shop on the old highway in Willard and traveled the country doing gem and mineral shows. They have three children together, Christine and Bart Thomas, Rob Lewis, Marti and Shelli Lewis and six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Tam was a loving selfless woman who dedicated her life to her family. Without hesitation she always put others before herself. She was a hard worker that could outdig 98% of men at the fossil quarry in Wyoming.

Tam fought a long hard battle with COPD and passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends. Her pain and suffering have come to an end and she is now with her Savior in a very beautiful and glorious place.

She will be dearly missed by so many and forever remembered as the strongest woman and the world's best canasta player.
