Susan Kay Christensen Larson

06/29/1940 ~ 07/28/2021

Susan was born June 29, 1940 in Ogden, Utah to Lowell Ellison and Lucille Helen Baker Green. She was raised and educated in Ogden and Layton, Utah, graduating from Davis High School Class of 1958 and attended Weber State College.

In the fall of 1958, she married later Max R. Christensen in Layton, Utah. They had two children, Kelly and Beckie. Susan lost her sweet Beckie at 13 years of age to cancer.

She and Max divorced in 1984 and she married Ervin William “Bill” Larson in Nevada following her retirement form Hill Air Force Base where she had a career in logistics and left as a project manager. While in Nevada she had a hypnotherapy practice that was quite successful, retiring in 2006.

Susan had an affinity for the Emerald Casino and enjoyed boating, snow and water-skiing and traveling.

She was a dog lover and Rambo or “Sir Ram” and her cat, Sam were a real pair.

Susan will be remembered most as a feisty lady who enjoyed her evening night cap and fiercely loved her family.

She is survived by her son, Kelly Christensen, Roy; two grandchildren, Athena Alsup and Wyatt Christensen, two great-grandchildren, Raevyn and Haedyn Alsup, and one sister, Sally Coolley, Clearfield. Susan was preceded in death by her daughter, Beckie and husband, Erwin W. “Bill” Larson.

The family will meet with friends Monday, August 2, 2021 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. Burial of her cremated remains will be with Bill, taking place following a Memorial Celebration of Life in the chapel of Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 13, 2021.
