Susan Lane Kinghorn

August 17, 1951 ~ June 10, 2017

Susan Lane Kinghorn passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the age of 65.

Susan was born in Idaho Falls, ID, on August 17, 1951, the daughter of Sterling A. and Dorothy Jean Jensen.  She was a member of the LDS Church. She graduated from Idaho Falls High School and received her associates degree from Ricks College. Susan continued her education at Weber State College, where she met her sweetheart, Randall Gale Kinghorn. Randy and Susan were married on June 10, 1972 in Idaho Falls, ID.  They resided in So. Ogden where they raised both their children.

In her youth, Susan modeled and worked for The Bon Marche and Browning Arms Co. Susan began her career at the Internal Revenue Service in 1980 where she received many awards. In 2010, Susan retired from the IRS and was able to spend more time with her loving grandchildren who adored her. We will all miss her hugs, kisses, and huge heart.

Throughout her life Susan enjoyed her time spent with family and friends at her summer home in Bear Lake. We have many fond memories with mom camping, boating, fishing, four-wheeling, and shopping. Susan loved her children and grandchildren more than anything. She was a very good cook. Her homemade roast, chili, and bean soup were her specialties. She also loved her cat and dogs.

Susan is survived by her parents, Sterling and Jean Jensen; husband, Randall Kinghorn; son, Justin (Shauna) Kinghorn; daughter, Natalie (Tony) Lowe; 10 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister, Kathy (Steve) Chin.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
