KAYSVILLE, UTAH - Mr. Sharon Verell Gardner, age 83, Husband to late wife Vivian Tucker Gardner, Father to sons late Michael Lynn Gardner and survived by Ross Albert Gardner, grandfather to seven, great grandfather to 16 and great great grandfather to one,  was reunited with his sweetheart of 55 years in heaven on May 14, 2020 surrounded by the love of his family.

Sharon was born on September 1, 1936 in Huntington Utah.  He was the youngest of 12 brothers and sisters; survived by his sister Shannah Gardner Lewis (Charles). He married his beautiful sweetheart June 11, 1965 and they were sealed in the Salt Lake temple 10 years later on June 11, 1975.  He was an active, strong, and faithful LDS member of the Third Ward, Kaysville Utah and served 4 service missions along side his wife. Upon her death he continued to faithfully serve many more missions up until his death, at the bishops storehouse in Kaysville, Utah.

Sharon loved singing.  He was a member of SPEBSQSA Salt Lake Beehive Statesmen Choir chapter for 61 years.  He was chosen as the barbershop president, and has served as a board member. He was also apart of a Barbershop Quartet for 10 years named “The LADS”.

Sharon retired as a Director for the Davis County School District.  He also served in the military Army branch, but most importantly he was a mountain rock of stability, reliability, and love to his family, friends, and community.

Sharon was well loved by many, many people who knew him in his community. He was known for his smile and unwavering service to the people around him.

Sharon is preceded in death by his wife and son mentioned above, his father George Albert Gardner, mother Irene Ann Johnson Gardner and 10 siblings Gerene Gardner Jones (Rollan), Rollan (June), Dee (Thyra), Volmer (Janeal), Norman (Betty), Burke (Velma), Van (Georgia), Valene Gardner Brinkerhoff (Cameron), Lowell (Sherma), Kendall (Deanna). 2 great grandchildren Kylie Laura and Luc Gardner.

He leaves behind many of what he dearly called his treasures, his son Ross (Ruby) his grandchildren Stacy Gardner Laura, Christopher (Angela), Nicholas (Julie Tidwell), Shadee, Hayden, Shantell Smith (Josh), Victoria Benedict Newman (Christen). His great grandchildren Marissa Laura (Mike Damiano), Eli, Ian, Dru, Mya, Travis Cook, Taylor, Cohen Smith, Dylan Smith, Leaff Irwin, Jasmine, Idan Benedict, Carson Newman, Saliah Benedict. And his first great great grandchild Michael Damiano, and many nieces, nephews and dear friends who lovingly refereed to him as Shag.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 21, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. the Kaysville City Cemetery, 500 E. Crestwood Rd., Kaysville, Utah.  Friends may visit with family Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main St., Kaysville, Utah.
