Shane Ohlson

Shane Ohlson passed away on September 9, 2021 at the age of 52 in Murray, UT. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges. Despite the pain and many procedures, Shane stayed strong until the end.

Shane was raised in Ogden and Syracuse by his mother, Peggy Ohlson and father, Gordon Lee. Shane was a hardworking, dedicated employee at Associated Foods for 20 years before retiring. He was an avid beer lover and a huge fan of Henry Rollins, Stephen King, Star Wars and Marvel. He shared his passion for these things with all of the people he loved.

Shane met his soulmate, Angel in 2007. She was there by his side through everything, and they built an amazing life together. Together they enjoyed going to concerts, holding game nights with friends and were regulars at the Salt Lake City Comic Con. Angel had three children, Joshua, Ashleigh and Dakota, that Shane loved and cared for like they were his own. His grandson, Oliver meant the world to him. They spent many hours together building Legos and playing with NERF guns.

Shane is survived by his life partner, Angel Casper; his mother, Peggy Ohlson; his sister, Misty Ohlson; his step-children, Joshua, Ashleigh and Dakota; as well as his niece and nephew, Sydney, Skyler and Jackson, and his favorite of all, his grandson, Oliver. He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Lee; grandparents on both sides and his niece, Rainy Jo. He will truly be missed by all to include his cat, Buzz.

There will be a small graveside ceremony for close friends and family on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 11 a.m. Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.  Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.

Shane will also be honored at a celebration of life on September 18, 2021. Details to follow.
