Sally Lou Pedersen

November 29, 1960 ~ May 26, 2021

Sally Lou Pedersen passed away Wednesday May 26, 2021, at Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah. She fought for her life after three operations in one week, the complications during the surgeries she could not recover from.  She was born in Sheridan, Wyoming, to mother, Valerie Ernestine “Georgina” Page Miller and father, William Henry Miller.

Sally is survived by daughter, Stephanie Pedersen; her son, Zyyler Higgs; fiancé, Colton Higgs; and daughter-in-law, Taylor Siegel. She is also survived by her mother, Valerie Miller; sisters, Susan (Suzy) Jackson, Shelley Volz, Lorraine Kobielusz, and Sheila Pedersen. Sally had many nieces and nephews; many of her children’s friends who considered her a second mother. She was preceded in death by her son, Donny W. Pedersen; father, William Henry Miller; and nephew, Mark Kobielusz.

She attended and graduated from Big Horn High School and Casper College. After college she moved to Rock Springs, Wyoming, becoming a permanent resident. Sally worked as an Office Manager for 30 plus years for Rocky Mountain Casing Crews then after the company shut down, she worked for Tri State.

Sally had two children her son, Donny Pedersen and daughter, Stephanie Pedersen. Sally’s children were her life, she would do anything for them and was always there for them no matter what. Throughout their lives it was always the three of them! Never going a day without talking, they always were laughing and enjoying their lives. Donny and Stephanie treated their mother like the Queen she was and always will be. Sally had one grandson Zyyler who was her best friend and a light of her eyes, Nana's lil man. Anytime she was around they played and laughed all the time.

Anyone who knew Sally knew she was very kindhearted and always helped when possible, putting everyone before herself. Sally was like a second mom to many of Donny and Stephanie’s childhood friends, many of them still. Always had a house full and laughs all around. Sally enjoyed camping, fishing, outdoor activities and playing slot machines when shed get the chance. Family was and always will be #1! She loved hard and was a strong woman who fought hard, never giving up!

Our hearts are broken, and things will never be the same. Sally’s family appreciates the love and support during this exceedingly difficult time.
