Robert Pehrson

Robert Clarke Pehrson,

December 19, 1927 - November 5, 2017

Devoted son, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather Robert C. Pehrson passed away peacefully on November 5, 2017 just short of his 90th year.  Robert led his life as a man who loved God, loved his family, and loved his country. From an early age he was taught hard work being raised on a large ranch in southern Utah; he instilled these same values to his two sons and many grandchildren.

Robert was a WWII US Army veteran and a veteran of the Korean conflict.  He would later be sent to Vietnam multiple times during that war. He retired after 27 years of service and excellence from Hill Air Force Base.

Robert met and then married the love of his life Dorothy Fergus on Valentine’s Day 1949, which was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. "Bob and Dot" enjoyed 63 glorious years until her passing in January of 2013.  Robert devoted and sacrificed all in the final years of her life taking care of her needs, at times carrying her when she was too weak to walk, and never failing to offer generously the power of the Priesthood in his many blessings.  Bob cherished his many callings but grew especially close to his Heavenly Father while serving in the Ogden Utah and Mesa Arizona LDS Temples.

Robert is now fulfilling the next step in his eternal appointment by joining his sweet bride in the next chapter of their lives as the wait for her Champion is over. They leave two sons, David (Nancy) and John (Jacy) and 11 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, and a legacy of love and caring for one's neighbor.

Robert is preceded in death and now reunited with Dorothy, his parents Junius Thorpe and Sylvia Alvretta; brothers Evan, Dale, Jay and George; sisters Donna, Ruth and Helen, and great granddaughters Abbie and Violet.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Hunter 5th Ward Chapel, 5065 W. Janette Ave. West Valley City, Utah.  Friends may visit family Friday, Nov. 10th from 6-8 pm at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary 727 N. 400 E. and Sat. 10-10:45 am at the Church prior to services.   Interment Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch 1718 Combe Rd, Ogden Utah.
