Rebecca Parks

August 10, 1953 — December 14, 2020

Rebecca Ann Parks, age 67, passed away on December 14, 2020 due to complications related to dementia.  She had her devoted husband Don by her side until the very end.

Rebecca was born August 10, 1953 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Dale and Zoma Hancock.  She moved to Las Vegas to spend her childhood and returned to Utah in 1977 to raise her three daughters Samantha, Brandy and Jennifer.  She worked side by side with her mother doing upholstery work in restaurants and movie theaters in the Salt Lake City area and surrounding states.  She received a certification in child care, raised money for the National Federation of the Blind and also worked at HAFB.

Becky married her lifetime loving husband Don in June of 1984.

Becky enjoyed fishing with Don, painting ceramics with friends and waking early on weekends to go “junkin”.  She had a unique collection of salt and pepper shakers and Coca Cola knick knacks and memorabilia (which were always the “go-to” for a Christmas gift).

Rebecca is survived by her husband Donald Parks and their three children; Samantha Marino (Dino), Brandy Speth (Michael), Jennifer Forsgren (Justin), her sister Deborah McCoy (Thomas), her brother Danny Phelps (Irene), her eight grandchildren, Charles, Caitlin, Valentino, Corbin, Zoma, Maximus, Caden, Cooper and one great-grandchild, Liam.

She is preceded in death by her lovely mother Zoma McGarry.
