Jeanette, Linda and I will never forget when you and Ned lived at the top of the driveway. You folks were such good neighbors. Ned was such an upbeat guy whenever I talked to him and it was sad to hear that he's gone. I think the Lord knew what he was doing when he moved you guys close to your family in Utah. May God continue to bless you and your entire family. John Chanik

Jeanette, I am so sorry for your family's loss. Knowing what a wonderful man Ned (Bp. Sharp!) was, I am sure that the loss is felt very deeply indeed. I wonder if you know what an incredible impact you both had in my life years ago..! I would like to thank you again for the love and caring you both shared with me and my family. I especially appreciate the loving relationship you both maintained through the years with my father. I still have the caring words Bp. Sharp penned to be read at my dad's memorial. And I have loved reading the comments both here and those posted on Facebook. What a beautiful life of love and service! My life has been immeasurably better for having known both of you, my heart goes out to you and yours... with love, Kaelin

Sis. Sharp,

Your husband was an amazing man and a great example to my son, Kayden. Ned & Kayden served together as Home Teaching companions and Kayden enjoyed their time together. He talked with Kayden on a personal level and got to know him. He supported Kayden by attending his high school basketball games and track meets. Ned was like a second father to Kayden at a difficult time in his life. Thank you for sharing your wonderful companion with our family and allowing him to serve in a way that will never be forgotten.

So appreciated your kind words and memories of Ned. We are so grateful that our lives touched so many years ago. I remember the passing of your mother and the opportunity to help with her funeral. Thanks for the beautiful flower arrangement of daisies from you and your sisters. Love, Jeanette and family

Jeanette and family, we can't believe that Ned is gone. We just heard today (3/16/2017} about his death from Dennis Alger. We went to school together in Clinton and Clearfield. He helped me get a job with Boeing. We attended Scout things together. He was from Maple Valley and I was from Kent. We saw him in the Temple and at the Bishop's store house a lot of times. Then he retired and moved to Utah. We didn't know where. It was a great privilege to be his friend. We wish we could be there for his funeral. Our prayers are with you and your family.

Ned is a exceptional listener, and was interested in those he served with. He probably knew more about me than most people. I feel honored that I could have served with Ned for providing Meals on Wheels to our senior citizens in the area. Condolences to Ned's family.

One of my favorite memories of Ned was when he, as our safety focal, came in to work with a pretty decent cut across the bridge of his nose from a boy scouts event (i think it was a folding ping pong table attack) As you can imagine, the entire group teased him a bit and he of course handled all of it good naturedly. But that was exactly who he was every single day. Handled everything with grace, class, patience and genuine care for each and every person he worked with. The angels are welcoming one of the most beautiful souls to heaven i have ever had the pleasure to know.

My condolences to Ned's family, friends and former co-workers. I worked with Ned at Boeing and know him from his time in the Structures Laboratory as the gold standard for a safety leader. Ned was so calm under any and all circumstances that it was a joy to work along side him and to learn from him. He will be missed but his spirit of service will live on in each of us that he came in contact with throughout his life.

I only knew Ned for 10 min. I was out working in my front yard when he walked up extended his hand with a big smile and said, "Well, hello neighbor, I'm Ned Sharp!" I introduced myself to which he replied. Do you know Dan? I told Ned he was my father. He smiled and told me he had know my father for years. He even recently helped him side his house. I told him I would let my father know I had met him. He smiled, said, It was a pleasure to me you, Trent but I have grapes that need to be pruned and it is a beautiful day." I bid him good day. He immediate walked across the street and introduced himself to my neighbor. I could hear him say, "Well hello neighbor, I'm Ned Sharp." In the 10 minutes I met Ned, I thought what an amazing guy. He will be missed.

Our deepest condolences for your families.
We knew Ned as the most wonderful Safety Advocate of The Boeing Company Structures Test Labs for many years in Seattle. He always handled the delicate safety issues in a dangerous Test Lab with professionalism, grace and with involvement. He knew our job and usually gave us solutions to make us all safer! We all loved working with him. His live saved lives! Thanks for sharing him with us for so many years at Boeing! Rest in Peace Ned.

I can't believe he left so young. I'm 78 and still clicking. I often remember the good years I spent as a counselor to Bishop Sharp with Paul Carrol and bro Peterson. He was a big influence in my life.
May God bless you and the family. We'll see him on the other side.

I know first hand how dedicated Ned was; he was my home teacher for many, many years, some of those years when I was a "less active member." But he always visited me and always cared. The ranks of the Maple Valley old timers are reduced by one on this side and increased by one on the other side. May the Lord continue to give you peace that all is well here and in Heaven.

You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.
