Michael Lee Adams

May 11, 1948 ~ May 6, 2019

The world lost an amazing man, one whose jokes and laughter touched so many.  Michael Lee Adams passed away after a battle with cancer on Monday, May 6, 2019, just in time for a 12 o’clock tee time. He was born on May 11, 1948 in Ogden, Utah, the son of James Vester Adams and Iris Maw Sharp Adams. Michael graduated from Clearfield High School in 1966.

Michael married Karen Smith on October 8, 1966. They had three children together and were later divorced. Michael married Connie B. Mitchell Lazenby on April 26, 1996 and Michael gained four more children that he took on as his own.  Michael and Connie recently celebrated 23 years of marriage.

Mike was a determined electrician and an avid member of the IBEW for many years, where he made many long-term friends. Mike knew every joke and could make anybody laugh; he would join in and laugh at his own jokes, too. Mike was easy to love and made a special connection with everyone he met.  He left a lasting impression no one will ever forget.

Mike enjoyed listening to the oldies on AM 1370, going to Wendover, and spending time on the golf course with his brothers, laughing more than golfing and never keeping score. We will always cherish the memories we made with Dad – laughing endlessly, singing, and sharing jokes and drinks. Some our most memorable times were when Mike and his brothers and sister sang and played the guitar while the grandkids played the spoons. Dad always had his camera in hand, making sure to capture every moment. Mike was always a supportive husband and a loving father; he will be greatly missed, and his love will never be forgotten.

Michael is survived by his wife, Connie; children, Steve Michael (Dina) Adams, Pollianna M. (Cee) Barnes, Chariti J. (Brian Harmer) Moss, Tami R. (Angelo) Spaziano, Troy V. (Melissa) Lazenby, Shannon Ray (Tangee) Lazenby; brothers, James (Nancy) Adams and Craig (Deniece) Adams, and 20 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nelda Brooks; brother-in-law, Ronald Brooks; and son, Chet Lazenby.
