Mary “Lisa” Elizabeth Wall McBride

Lisa passed away on the morning of June 16th, 2018 after complications due to colon cancer.  Lisa was born January 20th, 1955 to Robert and Annabelle Harris Wall in Denver, Colorado.  She was raised in Algonquin, Illinois graduating from Irving Crown High School.

She attended BYU where she met her husband Jimmy Darrell McBride. After he invited her to cook for his roommates, he fell in love with her cooking, and she sealed the deal by taking a quiet moment in the basement of the dorms and shared her testimony of the gospel. They were sealed July 12, 1973 in the Mesa Arizona Temple and raised 8 children together.  She returned to BYU later in life and was able to earn her Bachelor's Degree.  She taught piano at her home for many years fostering a love of music in many children.  She loved Nancy Drew Mysteries, music, reading, teaching, gardening, crafting, and attending the temple.  She was currently working for Family Search as a Genealogist.  She had a deep love for Family History.

She served faithfully in several church callings including Organist, Primary Chorister, Primary President, Ward Missionary, Stake and Ward Relief Society President and most recently as an Area Temple & Family History Consultant.

Lisa is survived by her husband Jimmy; children, Belinda (Matthew) Pedersen, Orem; James (Jennifer) McBride, Layton; Rachel (Robert) Hansen, Woods Cross; Rebekah (Christopher) Gibbons, Lindon; Joseph (Jaime) McBride, Henderson, Nevada; Jacob (Alisha) McBride, Clearfield; Jonathan McBride, San Tan Valley, Arizona; Jared (Lauren) McBride, Pflugerville, Texas.  Lisa also loved her 19 grandchildren, siblings, Robert (Flora Lee) Wall, Layton; Lorchin (Anthony) Arnone, Illinois; and David (Ann) Wall, Sugarhouse.

Preceded in death by her parents and daughter-in-law Tiffany Lynn Anderson McBride.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Kays Creek Stake Center, 2680 E Cherry Lane, Layton, Utah. Friends may visit family Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah, and Thursday from 9:30 to10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
