Marlene Antoinette Vega Sneddon

January 25, 1951 ~ March 16, 2020

Mom passed away peacefully on Monday, March 16, 2020 at her home in Roy, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born January 25, 1951 to Isidor and Consuelo Vega. She was raised in Dragerton, Utah with seven brothers and one sister.

Marlene has two children, Bradley Sneddon and Danielle Hansen. The best memory Bradley has of his mom is when she would make breakfast on the weekends, listening to music and him dancing with mom. The best memory Danielle has of her mom is when they drove to Mesquite and got lost. They made an appointment for a massage and were unable to walk the next day because of the massage. They won back all the money they lost and miraculously made it home in one piece. Marlene has four grandchildren, Braleigh, Hunter, Benjamin and Ryan. She loved and adored them. She was respectfully known as “Nan” and always had goodie bags and spare change in the China hutch for each grandchild when they came to visit.

Braleigh said she is “going to miss Nan’s hugs and snuggles”. Hunter said he will always “remember going to Nan’s and the stories she would tell and that she would always teach him Spanish”.

Ben said “I could tell Nan anything and she would always be there for me and she was always very sweet to me”.

Ryan said “Nan is my favorite!”

Mom received her Associates Degree from Steven-Henagar’s College. She worked at the old St. Benedict’s Hospital as the Lab manager and retired from Herefordshire Clinic in Roy as an Office Manager. She put her patients first and served them with love and respect.

Her hobbies included interior design, gardening and spending time with her family.

She was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic congregation in West Haven.

She was a strong, generous, loving woman who loved her family and friends. Mom- We will always be grateful for the selfless sacrifices you made for your family so that we could have the best life possible. May you rest in peace with God where there is no more sorrow or pain. We love you!

She was preceded in death by her parents, Isidor and Consuelo; Misty Donald, Robert Vega and Brady Vega. She is survived by Gabe (Linda) Vega, Denise (Gloria) Vega, Geraldine Donald, David (Pricilla) Vega, George (Becky) Vega, Patrick (Kathy) Vega, Ray (LeAnn) Vega; Bradley (Tamara) Sneddon, Hunter Sneddon, Braleigh Sneddon; Danielle Hansen, Ryan Hansen and Benjamin Baker.

Thanks to all of the angels that helped us through this passing, the unseen and seen angels.

Special thanks to Symbii Home Health and all of mom’s family and friends.
