Lee Foster

July 10, 1924 — November 28, 2019

LAYTON, UTAH – Lee Wade Foster,    passed away November 28, 2019 of natural causes.

Lee was born in Provo, Utah on July 10, 1924 the son of Franklin D. and Maude V. Chugg Foster.

He married Willa Carlile on November 20, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple.

He served in World War II in Europe.

He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions and was a Temple Worker.

Lee worked for Utah Power & Light for 36 years.  He always kept busy remodeling houses, building new houses and was a real estate salesman.  He was involved in buying mountain property and subdividing.  After retirement Lee and Willa did a lot of traveling and were able to visit almost every state in the United States.

Surviving are his children, Cathy (Richard) Bassett, Ken (Linda), Brent (Jan), Michael (Cindy), 13 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, wife Willa, two brothers, Max and Joseph.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, South Ogden.

Special thanks to Treeo Senior Living and Fairfield Village. He made many friends in both places.   Inspiration Hospice provided remarkable, loving care to him until the very end.  Also to Fairfield Assisted living where he moved two weeks before his passing.  They made very special connections with him which the family greatly appreciates.
