LaDawn Spendlove Williams

August 26, 1953 ~ May 14, 2018

Our loving Wife, Mother, Grandma, Sister and Friend, LaDawn Spendlove Williams passed away at her home on Monday, May 14, 2018 with her eternal companion, Randy, by her side.

She was born August 26, 1953 in Brigham City, Utah, a daughter of Joseph Dewey and Alta Carter Spendlove. She loved growing up in Brigham City and attended Box Elder High School where she was a member of the B’Ette Pep Club. Her favorite place in Brigham City was Idle Isle on Main Street.

LaDawn attended Weber State College and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She worked many years in the Davis School District Head Start program and loved each one of her preschool students.

On June 13, 1975, LaDawn married Randy Kent Williams in the Ogden LDS Temple.

She was a faithful member of the LDS Church. She held many callings in Primary, Cub Scouts, Young Women and Relief Society. She served as Relief Society president in the LDS Branch at the Country Pines Retirement Community. She loved serving the grandmas and they loved her.

LaDawn was the mother of three children and grandmother of 12 grandchildren. They were her greatest joy.

She loved gardening, keeping her yard nice, sewing and crafts, as well as playing bingo and being the Pixie with her grandchildren. She would often take her kids to lunch and her grandkids on shopping trips. She also made every holiday and birthday special and was a devoted “Charity Chick.”

Surviving are her husband, Randy, three children, Juleen (Scott) Evans, Michelle (Weston) Strong, David (Barbara) Williams, and 12 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Dewey and Alta Spendlove, as well as her sister, Deon Spendlove.

We are grateful for the time we were able to spend with her on this earth and know she returned to the loving arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ, her parents, and many other family and friends.
