John Edward Jaskowski
John Edward Jaskowski, 83, passed away peacefully, Sunday, December 28, 2014 at his home in Franklin, Idaho.
He was born August 21, 1931 in Bagley, MN to Peter and Eleanor Julson Jaskowski.
He joined the United State Air Force where he served during the Korean War.
March 4, 1978 he married Caren Collier in Elko, NV. They were later sealed in the Ogden LDS Temple.
He enjoyed the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and riding horses, especially his horse Marty. He also had a love for music. He enjoyed singing and playing his guitar.
John was a member of the Franklin 2 nd ward in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by his wife; Caren and their three children, Quinton (Michelle) Jaskowski, Brittlyn (Michael) Nelson, and Brody Jaskowski; two sisters, Grace (Bill) Anderson and Patricia (Richard) Bergerson and one brother, Duane (Didi) Jaskowski; other survivors include, Vicki, Debbie, Connie, Mike, Todd, Tammy, Valerie and Troy; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, West Point Cemetery.
