Patricia Jeanne Payne Cameron

June 28, 1954 ~ December 2, 2019

Patricia Jeanne Payne Cameron, 65, left this life to be eagerly welcomed into the next on December 2, 2019, after a fast battle with pancreatic and liver cancer.

Jeanne was born June 28, 1954, in Safford, AZ to Shirley Jeanne Romney and Raymond Willard Payne. She loved playing football with her brothers Mike, Greg, Miles, and Van, and was a beloved older sister to Gayle, Kathy, and Pam.

Graduating from Safford High, EA College, BYU, and WSU (MEd), she loved learning and teaching. Music was always a part of her home growing up, and she taught her children to love it too. She played the violin, wrote many songs and poems, and sang in several choirs. Gathering and sharing her favorite Christmas stories on CD each year with friends and neighbors allowed her to share a piece of her heart.

She was sealed to her husband, Corydon Bruce Cameron, on December 20, 1975, in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. They met at BYU and made their home together in West Valley, UT and later Pleasant View, UT.

Professionally she was a teacher and later worked in the Ogden School District offices. She had a unique way of helping others see that education changes lives and insisted that lessons were learned not just from books.

She loved her Savior and found many ways to share that love with others. She radiated joy and positivity to everyone who knew her. She was always looking for little ways to make others' lives better and said that service was a clear path to happiness. She exemplified that in the way she cherished her family and grandchildren.

Jeanne is survived by her husband, Cory; her children, Trenton (Lori) Cameron, Megan (Aaron) Woolstenhulme, Aaron Cameron, Brendon (DeNae) Cameron, and Dustin (Monica) Cameron. Her grandchildren Nate, Wyatt, Parks, Maddie, Pearl, Hannah, Logan, Caleb, and Mason love her so much! She is loved by many others in this life: her mom, Shirley Payne; her sisters, Gayle Wright, Kathy (Tim) Norton, and Pam Hicks; and by her brothers, Mike (Denise) Payne, Van Payne, Greg (Ronda) Payne, and Miles (Vickye) Payne, all of Arizona, as well as many other nieces, nephews, in-laws, and family. She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Payne and her brother-in-law, Danny Hicks.
