Jasmen Gilmore

June 4, 1984 — November 27, 2019

It is with great sadness that the family of Jasmen Gilmore announces her passing on Wednesday, November 27th, 2019 at the age of 35 years. She passed away peacefully in her sleep. Jasmen will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Bradley and Soundra Fehr, and her brother and sister, Harmony and Christian Fehr. She is also survived by her biological father Kevin and brother Dillon Gilmore.

Everyone who was close to Jasmen knew how much she loved spending time with her family, loved to shop and loved basketball. The void created by the sudden death of someone as beloved as Jasmen is still hard to grasp, but her loving spirit guides us through these difficult times.

Jasmen was born on June 4th, 1984 in Ogden, Utah at McKay Dee Hospital to Soundra and Kevin.

After briefly living in South Carolina, Soundra and Jasmen moved to Roy Utah in 1990 and she was raised by her stepfather Bradley Fehr. Jasmen attended Midland Elementary School and was always participating in activities. She was an active Girl Scout and enjoyed camping and selling cookies. Her stepdad Bradley always made sure she sold the most cookies and was on track for her badges.

Jasmen attended Sandridge Junior High School, where she played junior high basketball and threw shotput and discus in track. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and was always looking for activities to be involved in.

Jasmen graduated from Roy High School in 2002. She was an accomplished athlete and played on her High School’s basketball team and track team. She played center position in basketball and received the 6th Man Award for her team. Regularly, Jasmen would qualify for the state championships for her throwing and running abilities in track and field. After high school Jasmen received her Technical Degree in Welding from Ogden-Weber Technical College. She was a skilled and accomplished welder and put her skills to use by working at Icon. For many years she lived in Logan Utah and worked as a welding professional.

Some of Jasmen’s favorite things to do were go to the beach, especially in South Carolina, take long walks, and competing in sports. We remember Jasmen as a beautiful soul, she loved being a big sister and was always the life of the party. Her lively spirit could always uplift her family in any situation. Her laugh was infectious, and she enjoyed laughing and joking around with her family. She enjoyed the simple things in life and has taught us to never take anything for granted.

We are all thankful to have Jasmen in our life, she has given us all a beautiful perspective and taught us valuable lessons that we will keep with us forever. We only have positive memories of her and will honor her life by spreading love and living every day to the fullest.

And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise” Luke 23:43

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and portion forever Psalm 73:26
