Harry Leon Green

February 8, 1935 ~ May 5, 2017

WEST HAVEN - Harry Leon Green, 82, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017 to join his parents, brothers, and many friends in heaven.

Harry was born February 8, 1935 in Ogden, Utah to Rollin and Arvilla Green. He was the

youngest of 3 sons raised on the Green family farm in Kanesville, Utah. He graduated from Weber High School and received technical training at Weber State College. Harry became a Master Electrician and worked for several electrical companies and Weber State University before retirement. He was extremely proud of his work on Morton Thyokol, Kennecott Copper, IPP power plant in Delta, Nordstrom in the old Ogden City Mall, and the Manti LDS Temple restoration.

Harry was a lifetime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a very giving person and made sure to always try and help others. He loved dancing and participated in many dance groups. The last few years he enjoyed walking almost daily at the Golds Gym in Ogden. His big hugs will be greatly missed.

Harry is survived by his three children, Kristie (Curtis) Millet, Christopher (Teila) Green,

Jonathan (Jillian) Green; seven grandchildren, and three stepchildren, Jeffrey White, Melinda (John) Pickrell, and Alicia (Justin) Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his two older brothers, Dallas R. Green and Julian R. Green.

We are very grateful for all the loving, kind neighbors and people at the Ride service who helped him, with a special place in our hearts for Denise Peterson. She cared for our father as if he were her own.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
