Harmoni Lin Racker

October 27, 1972 - February 19, 2018

Harmoni Lin Racker passed away peacefully on February 19, 2018 in Farmington, Utah.

She was born October 27, 1972 in American Fork, Utah to William H. and Sharon Hellewell Brooks.

Harmoni attended Howard R. Driggs Elementary, Churchill Jr. High and graduated from Skyline High School.  She obtained an Associate degree from Salt Lake Community College while completing her Cosmetology training.

She married Daniel T. Hamby on March 14, 1998 and had one son, Daniel Parker Hamby.  They later divorced.

Parker and his mom loved to do things together.  Many trips to Disneyland, Hawaii, Chicago, Flaming Gorge, and the annual Park City getaway before school started.  They also enjoyed just being in the pool and biking.  These were special memory makers for both Parker and Harmoni.

After 17 years being a single mom, Harmoni found her eternal companion Richard Lamont (Monty) Racker.   They married in Las Vegas, Nevada and were later sealed in the Bountiful Temple on January 12, 2017.

Harmoni is survived by her husband, Monty Racker.  Her son, Parker Hamby (currently serving an LDS mission in Independence Missouri).  Step children; Samantha, Brittney, Owen, and Maxwell.  Parents Bill and Sharon Brooks (Centerville).  Her only sister Engor Brooks McRae (Robert) Farmington, Utah, their children, Robert Izeck (MiKayla), Hanna, Kalli (Harm’s KalPal), and sweet Macie.

On December 23, 2016 Harmoni was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic inflammatory breast cancer.  She fought hard enduring a year of chemotherapy and radiation treatments with unwavering faith that it would all turn out OK.

In her final days she was cared for by her angel sister, Engor.  She loves you beyond measure and appreciated so much the sacrifice and tender loving care you offered 24 hours a day.  She loves you dearly.

A special thanks to the many friends, new and old, who have been at Harmoni’s side both day and night, giving love and support to Harmoni and her family.  We love you all.

To our sweet new friends at Huntsman, thank you for your many efforts to heal Harmoni both physically and emotionally.  You will always have a special place in our hearts.

To our hospice team at First Choice, you are the best!  Thank you for the love, comfort, and support you gave Harmoni and all her family during this difficult time.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Orchard 13th Ward Chapel, 261 East Center Street, North Salt Lake, Utah.  Friends may visit family Thursday, Feb. 22nd from 5-8 pm at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. and Friday from 9:30-10:30 am at the Church prior to services.  Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.

Harm fought the fight!  She stayed HARMSTRONG AND YES #CANCERSUCKS!
