Gregory Scott Herbert

1966-2020

Gregory Scott Herbert, 53 of Bountiful passed away at the University of Utah Hospital on Friday, February 21, 2020 of complications from a spinal cord injury.

Greg was born on April 9, 1966 in Livonia Michigan, the son of Laurence and Carol Herbert.

He moved to Utah in 2002 where he met his wife Janet Schwartz Herbert. They were married in Jamaica on April 20, 2004.

Greg was in the food service industry most of his adult life, with the most recent being the Director of Operations for Marco's Pizza. He loved every minute of it. He mentored and influenced the lives of anyone he came in contact with whether you were his employee or friend.

He was always positive and never let anything bring him down, even enduring 22 months of being quadriplegic after his accident, he never had a “why me” moment.

Greg was an amazing grandpa and loved spending time with Bently and Jaxson. He could not wait to meet the newest addition.

He is survived by his wife Janet; children Cody Peabody (Jenneya), Kendra Herbert, Stephanie Herbert; mother Carol Holt (Don); siblings Larry Herbert (Kim), Brad Herbert (Amiee); three grandchildren; many extended family; and his loyal companion Rain (Great Dane).

Janet would like to thank the staff at the University of Utah Hospital and clinics for their excellent care of Greg. Thanks also to the Wee Care Pediatrics family for their support through trying times and Marco's pizza.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday March 8, 2020 from 1 to 3pm at the South Davis Recreation Center, 550 North 200 West Bountiful, Utah. Care entrusted to Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary.
