Georgia K. Hohlios, 95, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded  by her family on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. She was born on January 4, 1926 to Fotis Marino and Ellen Belaros Konakis in Sunnyside, Utah.

She married Antone Nick Hohlios on July 4, 1948 in Price, Utah. They were married for 55 years before Antone's passing on May 18, 2004.

Georgia was a dedicated member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Transfiguration where she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a member of the Ogden's Philoptochos Society. She spent many years with the Clearfield Community Church as a member of the Martha’s Circle.

She retired from the Internal Revenue Service in Ogden.

Georgia took pride in her Greek heritage. She and her family carried on many traditions together. Georgia’s hobbies included gardening and cooking. She tended to her beautiful flowers and vegetables, she especially loved her roses. She enjoyed making cheese right up to her passing.

Georgia loved spending time with her family and friends. She was the best mother, mother-in-law, Yiayia, and faithful friend.

Georgia is survived by her sons, Nick A. (Linda) Hohlios of Layton, Frank A. (Joy) Hohlios of Clinton, and Gus A. (Paula) Hohlios of Wichita, KS; 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her four brothers, six sisters, and one grandson.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church, 674 42nd St.  Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. with Trisagion Service at 7 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
