Juan Ernesto Bettini Urzua

April 26, 1933 ~ February 21, 2020

Ernesto Bettini, 86, passed away on February 21, 2020. Ernesto was born on April 26, 1933 in Santiago, Chile to Ernesto Santiago Jose Maria Bettini Henriquez and Ester Domitila Urzua Bruce.

Ernesto married Ethel Judith Finch Ramos on January 15, 1975 in Conchali, Chile. Ethel passed away in 1978.

Ernesto and Ethel had three beautiful children together. Ethel, Beatriz and Ernesto (Nito). From their children they had 10 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren. Ernesto was very close to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He helped raise Tommy, Nicole, Kevin, Andy and his great-grandaughter Lana from birth. They were all his world and he was theirs. He was so excited about his new great-grandson coming this July. We all know he already got to meet and hold him. We have to be honest he most definitely gave him some sweets while with him. Oh did Ernesto have a sweet tooth. Any chance he had he would walk over to 7-11 to grab some sweets. We would either find his sweets under his pillow, under the bed but most definitely in his nightstand.

Ernesto had a contagious laugh and smile. There wasnt a morning he wouldnt say "buenos dias mijita/mijito lindo". Ernesto enjoyed cooking LOVED cooking he would make the biggest mess in the kitchen but the dishes were absoulutely incredible. He enjoyed goin on walks while wearing his fedora, he would sit in his special chair (no one is aloud on his chair) and soak in the sun as long as he could. You would hear him singing multiple times a day. Listening to him sing brought so many smiles to so many of us. He enjoyed big family cook outs talking to everyone about the history of chile and soccer. Oh boy did he love soccer any question you asked about soccer he would have the answer to or to any question really. We all know Ernesto is now in heaven dancing, singing enjoying the sun with his wife, brother and parents. Thank you Tata for giving us the most amazing childhood the warmest hugs but importantly all of your love.
