Dustin “D” Patrick Merrill

February 22, 1989 ~ December 2, 2016

Dustin “D” Patrick Merrill left us peacefully at his home in North Ogden, Utah in the early morning of December 2, 2016, with his wife by his side.

Dustin was born on February 22, 1989 in Sacramento, California.  He moved to Utah and became a diesel mechanic at the Ogden Utah Boss Shop.

Dustin married the love of his life, Janie Mae Hilton on December 14, 2014.

As many of you know, Dustin has been battling colon cancer for almost three years.  He put up one hell of a fight.

Dustin was a loving husband, dad, brother, son, and friend. He always helped others and would give the shirt off his back without a question.  His charm and smile enlightened the lives of so many.  He will be missed far more than words can explain.

Dustin is survived by his wife, Janie Mae Hilton Merrill; his daughter, KayDance Merrill; his mother, Shelly; father, Monte; and a multitude of family and friends he’s touched.

A Memorial service will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Friday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
