Daniel Jacob Kimber

May 10, 2019 ~ June 6, 2019

Daniel Jacob Kimber was happily welcomed on May 10, 2019 by his proud parents Sandy and Brian Kimber and his sister Lianna Kimber.

From the moment Daniel’s life began he showed strength and resilience. Before Daniel was born he was diagnosed with a rare chromosomal condition, trisomy 13. Because of this the doctors said that Daniel had a 50% chance of being a still birth and a 50% chance he would die during his first week of life. He had every statistic against him. But Daniel showed his strength and desire to do things his way. He came into the world with a loud cry and lived 27 days. He spent 25 of them at home being held and loved on, he was rarely put down. He met a lot of family and friends who couldn’t stop talking about how cute he was. His sweetness imprinted in many hearts who will remember him forever. He especially built a bond with his Grandma Jan Kimber and Aunt Allie, who were also present for his birth. His sister loved to run her finger on his cheek, liked to help soothe him by giving him his binky, loved seeing him open his eyes and made sure mommy and daddy knew when he was crying so that they would come quickly to his rescue. His daddy liked to nap with Daniel on his chest, walk and talk to him around the house and loved showering him with kisses. His mommy loved everything about  her sweet baby boy his warmth, his newborn cry, the way he would curl his lip under, his sweetness and his eyes. Beautiful eyes that would open from time to time and connect with hers. It was as if he was trying to say something. She liked to gently bop his nose, run her fingers through his hair and feel his warm chunky cheeks. He is her perfect baby boy.

Daniel was the sweetest and cutest baby with a beautiful spirit, cute lips, kissable cheeks and the most precious button nose. He loved to be held, his binky, toy giraffe, having his hands around his face, attacking his bottle because mommy’s milk was delicious and warm fuzzy blankets. He did not like being cold, being swaddled tightly, being hungry or diaper changes but boy did he keep mommy and daddy busy with those. His life was beautifully spent being a baby. He got to go on walks, small trips with his family, to the movies and the park making memories that will be cherished forever.

Daniel wanted to make sure that he would remain a part of his family’s life. Many of the hard and special moments of his life were on a special day or time and as hard as that can be we are thankful it was this way. We know that Daniel will be honored because of this. He just wanted to make sure everyone knew how much he liked a party and being surrounded by family just like his mommy.

Heaven called Daniel home on June 6th, 2019. He had spent the night and morning snuggling with mommy and daddy. He passed away peacefully in the loving arms of his Great Aunt Panchita. He will be missed every day. He is survived by his parents Sandy and Brian Kimber; sister Lianna Kimber, his fur sister Penny, grandparents Jan and David Kimber, Sara and Ruben Arellano, great grandmother Beth Kimber, loving aunt’s and uncle’s, 17 cousins and a lot of extended family. He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents Luis Enrique Correa, María de los Angeles Arellano, Gonzalo Arellano, Elvira Chavez, Patrick and Beverly Hurley, DaWayne Kimber and beautiful baby cousins.

“Some people dream of angels, we were blessed to hold one in our arms.”

My little thumper, mi niño, mi bebe, mi amorsito, mi corazon, my little love my arms will always feel empty without you. Love, Mommy
