Clinton Hyde

December 5, 1946 — November 20, 2021

Clinton Vaughn Hyde

Clinton Vaughn Hyde, a kind, loving and humble husband, father, and grandfather passed away Saturday November 20, 2021, in his home in Clearfield, Utah at the age of 74. Galina Korneeva, his loving wife, as well his six children and stepdaughter were by his side.

Clinton was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho to his loving parents, Myrna Lottie Saunders and William Vaughn Hyde (both deceased) on December 5, 1946. He was raised with three older siblings, Myrna Lou Hathaway, Connie Jean Hyde (both deceased), and William Terry Hyde.

Clinton would often speak of his many great experiences including accolades earned from running track at his high school in Arco, Idaho, his time in the military and tales from his young adulthood. People who knew Clint would say that he was a bit of a dreamer and loved telling stories about many things. Though he didn’t know how it would happen, he had dreams of “winning it big someday.” In Clint's fifties he developed a passion for riding motorcycles and in the last few days of his life would speak of “taking one last ride.”

Everyone that knew Clint loved him and he loved them. He had a way of making everyone feel comfortable, he never met anyone that he wasn’t a friend to and was a man of honor and dignity.

Clint enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding ATVs as a young father and was always engaged with his children. Memories of homemade games, arm wrestling matches and ping pong tournaments are

memories we will always cherish. Clint was always an avid Utah Jazz fan and watched every game he could up until his very last days with us. Children and grandchildren loved to banter about players and watch the games with him.

Clint was married to Gloria Newman Hamilton in June of 1975 and had six beautiful children throughout their marriage together. Troy, Trent, Jason, Aleya, Andrea and Marlene all lived close and visited often during his life and were a great source of happiness for Clint.

In 2005, and what Clinton described as meeting an angel, Anya Higley introduced her mother, Galina Korneeva to her future eternal companion on December 31st. Clint often referred to Galina as a godsend to his life. Those close to Clint could see she loved him in a way that brought strength and confidence to his soul. She saved him, loved him and cherished him for the 15 remaining years of his life. Clint and Galina were married on December 29, 2007, and later sealed in the Bountiful Temple on April 24, 2009. Clint was blessed with seven children, their spouses and 29 grandchildren that loved him and will miss him dearly.
