Carol Ruth McTee Wilson

December 23, 1933 ~ June 9, 2019

Carol passed away on June 9, 2019 from causes incident to age. She was a wife, a mother of two girls and two boys and a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Carol was born on December 23, 1933 in Rock Springs, Wyoming, to Bertha L. and Leonard McTee. She was the oldest of four children. She came to Utah when she was five to attend the Utah School for the Deaf, attending there through her high school graduation. She later attended Stevens-Henager College in Ogden, Utah.

Carol remained in Ogden throughout her life. She worked for American Linen, IRS, the Forest Service for ten years, but spent most of her work life at HAFB, retiring after twenty years of civil service.

Carol met her husband, Arthur Wilson while they were attending the Utah School for the Deaf. They were married in the Salt Lake City Temple on April 19, 1956. They were blessed with four children.

Carol was talented at embroidery, crochet, and sewing. Carol spent a lot of time doing genealogy work, feeling it was important. She loved cats and always had a pet cat. She enjoyed visiting with friends, camping, family parties and traveling.

Carol faced many challenges in her life and always tried to remain positive and happy. She was very forgiving, often saying “the Lord tells us we should forgive. Period.”

Carol is survived by her children, Debbie (Robert) Bybee of South Weber, Sandra Stoddard of South Ogden, and Sam Wilson of Las Vegas, Nevada; 6 grandchildren, Mike, Daniel, Meagan, Kristy, Stacy, Matt; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild as well as one brother, James. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 brothers, Raymond and David; and 1 grandchild, Chris.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
