I was Elder Glanville's first companion in 1961. We spent a week in the MTC and traveled together to Norway with 4 other missionaries. Elder David Larsen who was in that group forwarded this obituary to me today. Though it is late, I wish to express my sympathy to you regarding his passing. I remember him as a sharp, outstanding individual and am sorry we did not meet in this life before his passing. I wish you the very best and invite you to drop in on my wife and I sometime when you are in the Salt Lake area.

My relationship with Allen was business related as one of Thor Incorporated’s customers.  Allen was this first person I met with when I became acquainted with the company.  We was always very genuine and detailed in our conversation.  Before even seeing Thor’s facility I immediately knew Allen was someone I would enjoy working with as you could tell that we would care as much about our company's success as we did.  With each visit to Thor Allen treated me as though I was being invited to his home.  His approach was always that of how can we serve and help you so your goals can be accomplished.  I also enjoyed the stories he would tell about his business experience and travels.  It was often as though he was taking an opportunity to teach me how I could be a better businessman myself.  I learned some very valuable lessons.

I learned a great deal from Allen.  He is one of the smartest most genuine individuals I have ever had the privilege of being associated with.  I will miss him and offer my most sincere and heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.

So sorry for your loss.  I loved going to your beautiful home to play as a child.  I loved seeing Glanville Sound stickers on the doors of many business and thinking of you and your Dad each time. Give your dear mother my love.

A tribute to my wonderful brother whom I will miss more than you can image.  You have always been there for me and my family.  You were a great example of what a brother should be.   I will remember the bond we shared and our last talk together.   That is something  I will truly treasure.  Until we meet again.  I love you, Melanie
