Betty June Corley LAYTON – Betty June Chadwick Corley, 82, died Monday, April 16, 2007 at the Sunshine Terrace in Logan. She was born July 14, 1924 in Martin, Carbon, Utah, to Alonzo and Ermina Hall Fullmer. Betty married Max W. Chadwick on May 21, 1942 in Salt Lake City. They were later divorced. She married Raymond J. Corley on November 4, 1967 in Kearns, Utah. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various teaching and executive callings. She and her husband served as Stake Missionaries and she was active in the home computer extraction program. Betty did extensive genealogy, compiling family histories, submitting thousands of names, and doing temple work. Betty served as a Cub Scout Den Mother, a 4-H Leader and was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She edited a quarterly family history magazine, loved good literature and sewed most of her own clothes. She loved children, animals and birds, and especially her children and grandchildren. Surviving are her husband Ray of Layton; five sons, Michael (Weena) Chadwick, St. George; Craig Chadwick, Nibley; Robert (Janet) Chadwick, Millville; David (Dolly) Chadwick, North Logan; James (Eunice) Chadwick, Providence; three step-children, Raymond (Flo) Corley, Salt Lake City; Cheryl (Ron) Galli, Ogden; Ronald (Shauna) Corley, Riverton; 35 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters, one grandchild and one great-grandchild. A special thanks to the staff and workers at Sunshine Terrace for their devoted love and care during the last four and a half years. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Elysian Gardens in Salt Lake City.
