Angelina M. Salazar

December 5, 1936 ~ November 22, 2021

We are saddened to announce our beloved Matriarch has received her angel wings on November 22, 2021 at Ogden Regional Hospital. Angelina Salazar passed away at 84 years old. She was born December 5, 1936 in Monte Vista, CO to Joe D. And Adelina Salazar.

Angelina’s beautiful smile as well as her infectious, loving and thoughtful personality were adored by all. She joked and sang and danced and was always the life of everywhere she went. She had a nickname for everyone she was close to. Angelina will be remembered for cooking her authentic Mexican food with a house full of family and friends. They were always smiling from ear to ear with full stomachs. Her family was her life, and she devoted her life to her children. She raised her children Catholic and raised them to have morals, respect and faith. Angelina was extremely Christ-like. She helped and gave to anyone in need and constantly put everyone’s needs above her own. Angelina's door was always open to provide insight and wisdom to all. She also loved traveling across the United States and sending her family post cards from each destination. She was a parishioner and attendee at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Angelina is survived by her daughters, Loretta (Lloyd) Mondragon; Debbie Martinez, Andrea Gonzales and her only son, Anthony B. Gonzales; four grandkids, and numerous great-grandkids and great-great-grandkids. As well as her only surviving brother, Bernie (Frances) Salazar. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Joe D and Adelina Salazar as well as her six brothers and three sisters.

Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 514 24th Street, Ogden, UT. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
