William "Bill" Leon Cash
April 17, 1935 ~ October 1, 2021
Bill passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Friday, October 1, 2021. He was born on April 17, 1935 to Joseph Waite Cash and Ethel May Fullmer in Logan, UT.
Bill graduated from Weber High School in 1954 and joined the Army during the Korean War, serving from 1954 to 1956. He also served a mission to the Central States for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Bill married Janice Yeates and together they had two children, they later divorced. He married Ila Marie Payne on April 20, 1968 in the Idaho Falls Temple, together they have three children.
Bill was a Locomotive Engineer for 30 years at the Defense Depot Ogden.
He was also a Davis County School bus driver for 17 years and loved all of the students.
Bill loved sports of all kinds, trains, buses, and of course all his grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his wife, Ila; children, Lynn, Jana (Jim), Wayne (Maridee), Kim (Dean), Andy; brother, Owen (Marie); sister, Faye Sessions; sisters-in-law; Louise Cash and Gayle Cash; and brother-in-law, Joe Sears; 16 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Irene Sears; brothers, Goody, Wayman, and Darrell Cash.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
