With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William Earl Tucker Jr., who departed this life on July 3, 2025, at the age of 58 lived in Davis County. Layton, Utah.
William was a proud graduate of Douglas High School in Box Elder, South Dakota, and went on to pursue his passion as a Diesel Mechanic. His love for hot rods was evident in the many hours he spent restoring classic cars and working side-by-side with his sons, teaching them everything he knew about engines. His hands were never idle, and his heart was always full when surrounded by those he loved.
Throughout his life, William worked hard to provide for his family. He held positions in construction, including with Custom Fence, and was most recently employed with Hogan. William lived life to the fullest, always finding joy in the outdoors — from boating and water skiing to mastering the water air chair — and created some of his fondest memories while camping with his children.
He cherished attending car shows with friends and family and sharing in the joy of those experiences. Most dear to him were family dinners, BBQs, and the special moments with his grandchildren — especially “K-Marting” trips where he treated them to toys and made memories they will forever treasure.
William is survived by his loving mother, Alice Tucker, his older sister, Patricia Gearhart, and his younger brother, James Tucker. He is also survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Christy Tucker, and their children: William Tucker III, Christopher Tucker, and Stephanie Gamlosen (Tucker).
William leaves behind his extended children: Braden Larkin and Reynald Gamlosen, as well as his daughters-in-law: Teri Tucker, Kaycee Miller, and London Simpson, the loving mothers of his grandchildren.
William’s legacy lives on in his 8 grandchildren and 5 extended grandchildren:
Arcadia, Artemis, Ares, and William Tucker IV as well as Laticia, Alexis, and Brian – children of William III and Teri Tucker. Aspyn Jo Tucker Child of Willam Tucker III and Kaycee Miller
Ryatt Tucker – child of Christopher Tucker and London Simpson
Ava-Marie, Leo-James, and Kaya-Faye Gamlosen – children of Stephanie and Reynald Gamlosen
– extended grandchildren Cayden and Kinley Larkin – children of Braden Larkin
He was preceded in death by his father, William Earl Tucker Sr., and his brother, Robert “Bobbie” Tucker.
