On December 5, 2023, we said goodbye to a legend. Bill Manning passed away surrounded by love and family at the age of 76.
Bill was born in Ogden, Utah to Luella and William Manning on November 12, 1947. He was the middle of three children and dearly loved his brother, Gary, and sister, Viola.
Bill grew up in Sunset, Utah and graduated from Clearfield High. Bill had a deep love and passion for sports. He was an accomplished player of baseball, basketball, football, and many other recreational sports. After being on several “Giant” teams, Bill became a lifelong fanatic of both the New York (football) and San Francisco (baseball) Giants. His first love was baseball, and his hero was Willie Mays.
In addition to his sports, Bill loved to fish and travel. But more than anything, he loved to spend time with his family. Bill had a big heart. He was kind, giving, funny and stubborn. There is nothing he would not do for those he loved.
Bill is preceded in death by his mother, Luella Barlow, father, William Manning, and grandson, Kason Worley. He is survived by his partner and loving companion, Shauna Hamby Loe, daughters Ashley (Skip) Perkins, Shancie (Jarime) Nance, Keeley (Micah) Worley, 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, sister Viola Pinkston, and brother, Gary Loyd Manning.
With great love, comes great loss. Bill Manning will be missed by his family and friends.
