William "Bill" John LaPalia, Jr.

William “Bill” John LaPalia, Jr. passed away at George E. Wahlen Veterans Home in Ogden, Utah.  He was 87 years old.

He served in the Navy during the Korean War, and then married the love of his life, Janice Carole Davis on October 27, 1956, in Los Angeles, California.

He worked in Automotive sales until he retired.  After retirement, they moved from Costa Mesa, California to Citrus Heights, California, and then ultimately to Syracuse, Utah to be near family.

He enjoyed boating, fishing, and his second love – restoring Mustang cars.  He loved his family and is survived by his wife, Janice Carole Davis; his son, William John LaPalia, III; his daughter, Michelle Anne Nyberg; son-in-law, David P. Nyberg; three grandchildren and spouses; and eight great-grandchildren.  

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 2:00pm at the Lindquist’s Syracuse Mortuary in Syracuse (869 South 2000 West, Syracuse, Utah 84075). Interment will take place at a later date, at the Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park in Bluffdale, Utah.
