Wayne K. Field
April 29, 1945 – May 20, 2013
Wayne K. Field, 68, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend returned to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on Monday, May 20, 2013 with his wife and children by his side.
Wayne loved working with wood. He was an artist, and turned that passion into a successful business when he built Fieldcrest Cabinets. In later years, he enjoyed being home and turning wood in his shop.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon, and children: Brenda, Todd, Lisa, Jan, Mindy, Shelly, Tommy, Aaron, Kristina, Brad, and Amanda, their spouses, 34 grandchildren and his mother Valeene Field. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph K. Field.
Wayne was a family man. His greatest joy was in being a father and a grandfather.
Wayne was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, served an LDS mission, and raised his family in the faith. He had an adventure’s heart. In his early years, he would race cars and motorcycles, take his family boating in the summer, and snowmobiling in the winter.
Wayne was a friend to all who knew him. He leaves his legacy in the people who knew him. He touched lives with his generous heart, strong conviction and his faith in God.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Fairfield LDS Chapel, 50 East Mutton Hollow Road, Kaysville. Friends may visit family Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Tuesday from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
