Wayne Lee Chambers
RIVERDALE - Wayne Lee Chambers passed away January 30, 2012 of heart failure. Wayne was born on the fourth of July 1939 in Laramie, Wyoming to Lester and Rose Chambers.
He was the big brother of two brothers and two sisters whom he loved very much. Wayne was married to the love of his life Janet Kay Lewis on October 19, 1962 and they were later sealed in the Ogden Temple for time and all Eternity.
He graduated from Utah Technical College with a degree in drafting and design. Wayne was an amazingly hard worker and had a way of figuring out a plan when no one else could. His final occupation was with CCI Mechanical and after 25 years of dedicated service, he retired to spend time with his family.
Wayne loved to fish. He could turn any piece of wood into a work of art. Wayne spent the last few years of his life RVing with Janet and will be missed as a member of the Holy Molers at Echo Island. He had an eye for beauty, which showed in the wonderful pictures he took of his many travels with his sweetheart. Wayne''s true passion was his family. He loved them with all his heart. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and spent many hours serving his Savior in his own unique way.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Janet; son, Richard (Karen) Chambers; daughter, Angie (Rod) Holtry; mother, Rose Chambers; brother, Larry (Joyce) Chambers, sister, Linda (Raymond) Brown; and his eight grandchildren who were the light of his life.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Kenny; and sister, Judy.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 3, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Riverdale 2nd Ward Chapel, 5500 South 1175 West. Friends may visit family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Tremonton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the missionary fund of his grandson Elder Jenson Chambers serving in the Baltimore, MD mission.
