Warren R. Bates

1937 ~ 2018

1937 - Birch Creek (Oakley) Idaho. I was the fifth of six children born to Charles Emery and Blanche Martindale Bates. I was schooled in Oakley, Burley, and Kimberly, Idaho.  I joined the Air force in 1954, honorably discharged.

I have two children, Tracie J. and Travis E. Bates. I was divorced from my children’s mom in 1990. I have three of the greatest grandkids the law will allow, Lindsay, McKenzie, and Aiden. They are my world.

1992 I married my pal, my friend, my partner. The greatest years of my life afforded me by Sherrie A. Davis, my true love.

At my request there will be no viewing or funeral. If all goes accordingly, my plans are a brief stay at the University of Utah, and then to be returned home.

To the people in my life I have not pleased … I am sorry and to my friends goodbye.

In lieu of flowers please donate to Primary Children’s Hospital or your favorite charity.

At a later date we will celebrate Warren’s life. We can only imagine some of the stories we will hear, it seems like everyone had one. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
