Wanda Tubbs

CLEARFIELD – After 93 years, our loving, kind, and generous mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, returned to her Heavenly Father and her husband, Blaine Tubbs, on January 23, 2019.  Wanda May Edwards Tubbs was born in Almo, Idaho to the parents of Gordon and Nina Edwards.  She married her sweetheart and eternal companion Blaine Tubbs on November 24, 1954.  They were later sealed for time and eternity in the Ogden Temple in Ogden, Utah.

Her greatest joy was found in serving and loving her daughters, Linda (Dennis) Peake, Barbara Tubbs, Carol Arave, and her grandchildren, Jordan (Sabrina) Arave, Colten (Sarah) Arave, Aleicia (Tyler) Jones, Marlissa Peake, and Vanessa Peake.

Wanda touched countless lives as a dear friend, neighbor, community volunteer, and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Her humble influence as a mother, grandmother, and woman was profoundly selfless as demonstrated in her constant acts of kindness and service. While she was blessed with multiple talents, she boldly expressed that if you knew her you knew the things she did, but if you did not know her then you should not care.

Wanda is survived by her daughters, Linda (Dennis) Peake, Barbara Tubbs, Carol Arave, and extended daughter Marilyn (Don) Arthur.  She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her two beautiful sisters, Arlene (Lee) Kimber and Nelda (Olene) Spurgeon.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the LDS South Main Chapel, 1895 South Main Street, Clearfield, Utah.  Friends may visit family Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.  Interment, Riverside Cemetery, Riverside, Utah at 3 p.m.
