Wallace Wayne Edwards

Our beloved Wallace Wayne Edwards passed away on Sunday November 27, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was born  November 20, 1940 in Mankato Minnesota to Donald Hugh Edwards and Catherine Josephine Pongratz Edwards. He was one of three children. 

After graduating from Mankato High School, he served in the United States Air Force. He later transitioned to the Army reserves and retired after 20 years of service. Wally also worked as a maintenance mechanic at Hill Air Force base where he later retired.

While stationed at Hill Air Force base he met the love of his life Marva Jean Perez. They married July 5, 1962 and together raised four children. Wally and Marva shared a beautiful life together for 60 years.

Wally was a convert and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Wally and Marva were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Wally enjoyed woodworking, camping, and especially spending time with his family. He was a devoted patriot and loved his country. 

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his wife Marva Jean Perez Edwards, his children Pamela Halbritter, Donald (Jill) Edwards, David (Aileen) Edwards, Cathy (Raudel) Arteaga, his sister Juanita Krueger, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Wally was preceded in death by his parents, his younger sister Constance, and his son-in-law Allen Halbritter.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 2, 2022 at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with frineds Thursday, December 1st from 6 to 8 p.m. ad Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery.
