Virginia K. Tapp, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025, in Layton, Utah. She was born on September 2, 1939, in Brunswick, Missouri, to Jewel Napoleon and Nina Joseph Kerby.
Virginia graduated from Bountiful High School and embarked on a fulfilling career as an administrative specialist at Hill Air Force Base. Her dedication to her work was matched only by her passion for life outside of the office. Virginia was a woman of many interests: she found joy in vintage cars, NASCAR events, and exploring new places through travel. Fishing brought her serenity, while crafting yarn art allowed her creativity to shine. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of reading and playing cards, yet it was her family gatherings that filled her heart the most.
On December 22, 1957, Virginia married Donald D. Tapp in Centerville, Utah, beginning a journey that would see the birth of six wonderful children: Mark, Selena (Normand), Richard, and Tracy (Yuvonka) Jason and Jeremy. Together they created a warm and loving home where laughter and memories flourished. Virginia was immensely proud of her seven grandchildren: Tina, Vickie, Deann, Nathen, Emily, Ashton, and Jeff, who all brought her immeasurable joy. The love she had for her family extended further as she cherished the many great-grandchildren who blessed her life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Donald, her parents Jewel and Nina, two brothers Bob and Bill, a sister Ruth, along with three sons—Mark, Jason, and Jeremy.
