SOUTH JORDAN a€" Viola Pratt Rygg, 95, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2012.

She was born July 14, 1916 in Bingham Canyon, Utah the daughter of Joseph M. and Lovica Miles Pratt.

Viola married Darwin M. Rygg on October 15, 1942 in Rockville, Maryland.

She was an active member of the LDS Church.

Viola loved quilting for Humanitarian service.

Surviving are her three sons, Darwin (Jean), St. George; Steven, Edgewater, Maryland; Bob (Susan), Rush Valley; daughter, Judy (Dan) O''Berry, Aravda, CO; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Bruce and grandson Michael.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Monday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
