Vicky Murray Christensen

October 20, 1956 — July 8, 2025

Vicky Murray Christensen passed away surrounded by family on July 8, 2025. Vicky was born October 20, 1956 to Jess and Doris Murray in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Vicky grew up a daughter of a Navy father, after Hawaii they moved to Cypress, California. While living in California, she spent a lot of her time at the beach and out in the sun playing with friends. She was always running around with her twin sister Terri. At the age of 14 they moved to Farmington, Utah where she graduated from Davis High School. She loved art. She was a great artist. While in high school she won awards for her art.

Little did she know the love of her life just lived up the street from her. On March 4, 1985, she married Kelly A. Christensen. To the marriage she brought two wonderful kids that he adored, David and Alison. Later that year, Kaylee joined the family.

Vicky worked in the floral industry for years. She loved flowers and could tell you what any flower was. She took on the task and did the flowers for all of her kids weddings and a few of her nieces and nephews.

Her favorite thing to do as a family was to play games. She taught all her kids to play the card game canasta. She was always up to play any sort of games with anyone.

Once she became a grandma, her grandkids were the light of her life. She loved babysitting and making up games with them. She loved going on lunch dates with Jazzy, teasing Calin because he would tease her back and cuddling with Nevan. She loved all 10 of her grandkids. She enjoyed giving ideas for Halloween costumes and playing games with all the grandkids, but she always got really competitive.

She loved the outdoors and enjoyed it with Kelly. They loved camping, 4 wheeling and sitting by the fire. Her favorite pass time was watching game shows, doing puzzle books and jigsaw puzzles. She was very crafty and always had a project in her mind.

She would joke around with everyone and would always add a one liner joke to the conversation. She was stubborn until the end.

She is survived by her husband Kelly, son David (Ashley) Murray, daughter Alison (Richard) D'Angelo, Kaylee (Cory) Yamashita, 10 grandchildren, sister Mary, brother Danny, and sister Terri. She is preceded in death by her parents Jess and Doris.
