On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, Venna Joy Peterson Sessions passed away at Quail Meadow. She had resided in West Haven for 65 years.
Venna was born October 26, 1934, the daughter of Jessie William and Frances Elmira Bassett Fallows in Blue Creek, Utah. She was raised in Howell, Utah with her seven brothers.
Venna married Kenneth Peterson on January 22, 1954. He preceded her in death on January 13, 1984. She married William “Bill” Junior Sessions, and he preceded her in death on August 7, 2012.
Venna retired from IRS after 35 years of service. She made many friends which she kept in touch with over the years.
Venna enjoyed fishing, traveling, and spending time with her family. She made numerous quilts and afghans to share with her family and friends.
She loved animals and fed all the stray cats in the area.
Venna was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Venna is survived by her son, Jeff (Phyllis) Peterson; 1 stepchild; 3 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husbands, Kenneth Peterson and Bill Sessions; parents; brothers; and grandson, Gavin Peterson.
The family would like to thank the staff at Quail Meadow and Utah Home Hospice for their kind, loving, and dedicated service in this time of need.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
