Travis Justin Jacques

Travis Justin Jacques, age 41, passed away January 11, 2026, in Sunset, Utah. He was born April 12, 1984, a son of Theresa Lynn Hards and the late Stephen Jacques. While still a small child, Travis was fortunate to gain a bonus father, and extra extended family, when his mom married George Blair.

Travis earned his high school diploma from Northridge High School, in Layton, Utah, and later went on to receive his MECP certification.

On June 28, 2008, Travis married Cindy Lu Woelfer. They were later divorced but had four children together: Jayda Lu (18), Kay Jo (16), Corbin Jacob Eastvold (12), and Priya Jean (7).

In December 2021, Travis met his fiancée, Jenalyn Vance. Trav and Jena would be together until the day he died, and over the years, he became a father figure to her daughter, Sayler June (17).

Travis loved being a father and passed on some of his favorite pastimes and hobbies to his children. From drawing and calligraphy to RC cars to taking turns with the punching bag, Trav enjoyed spending time with all of his kids.

He was a natural tinkerer who loved taking things apart and putting them back together to see how they worked and could often be found constructing things straight out of his imagination.

Travis' family is heartbroken over his unexpected passing but is comforted by the hope that he has finally found peace. He will be remembered for his creativity, goofy grin, and love of being a dad. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his children, fiancée, and two of his three parents, Travis is survived by his siblings, Jamie Lynne McMillan (Jed), Amie Josephine Jacques, Matthew Charles Blair (Angel), and Kilee McCall Beus (Cody), as well as many grandparents, aunts and uncles, and nieces and nephews who loved him.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday January 23, 2026, at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 N Fairfield Rd, Layton, Utah. Friends and family are also welcome to visit on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. and prior to the funeral service on Friday, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Interment will be held at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton.
