Timothy Meza was born on December 12, 1959, in Norwalk, California and raised in La Puente, California. He was the youngest of five children, with three brothers and one sister. Growing up in a close-knit family helped shape the steady, loyal, and hardworking man he would become.
While in high school, Tim met the love of his life, Judie. Their love story spanned 43 beautiful years of marriage — a partnership built on commitment, laughter, and unwavering devotion. After marrying and welcoming their son, Cory, Tim and Judie moved to Lancaster, California where they later welcomed their daughter, Cortney. They lived in Lancaster for 33 years, creating a lifetime of memories with family and friends and building the strong foundation their family stands on today.
Tim dedicated 43 years to the aerospace industry, beginning his career at Lockheed Martin, where he worked on the F-117 Nighthawk. He later continued his distinguished career at Northrop Grumman, leaving a lasting impact on numerous groundbreaking programs, including the B-2 Spirit, RQ-4 Global Hawk, MQ-8 Fire Scout, Firebird, F-35 Lightning II, and the B-21 Raider, among others. Throughout his career, Tim led the development of multiple innovative engineering and tooling designs, as well as crucial job processes that set the standards for current programs. His leadership, precision, and forward-thinking approach left a lasting mark on the aerospace community and on the many colleagues he mentored along the way.
Outside of work, Tim’s greatest joy was his family. He could often be found taking Cory fishing and carrying on the tradition of the annual “boys-only” fishing trip, cheering Cortney on at soccer games, or camping every year at Jalama Beach with family and friends — traditions that will be cherished forever. He warmly welcomed his daughter-in-law Annette and son-in-law Zack into the family as his own. Nothing brought him more pride than being “Papa” to his three granddaughters, Aria, Seager, and Alessia. He treasured every moment with them and loved watching them grow.
A faithful member of the Catholic Church, Tim was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, where he served as Grand Knight. There he spent a lot of his free time, leading Wednesday night bingo.
Five years ago, Tim and Judie moved to North Ogden, Utah to begin a new chapter of retirement. There, he was finally able to cultivate the garden of his dreams. He took immense pride in growing his own vegetables and making homemade salsa to share with everyone. Whether tending to his yard, fixing things around the house, or simply helping wherever he was needed, Tim showed his love through steady hands and a generous heart.
Tim passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, his deep faith, and the way he loved his family wholeheartedly. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched, the memories he created, and the family he cherished so deeply.
