Thomas Glen Reed was born on May 24, 1947 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Glen Reed and Marie Holt Reed. He passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Harrison Point Rehabilitation Center in Ogden, Utah.

Thomas graduated from Challis High School in Idaho. He retired from USAF after 26 years as a E8 SMSGT. He served at Naha Air Force Base, Okinawa Japan from 1966-1969, March Air Force Base, California from 1968-1972, Hill Air Force Base, Utah from 1972-1978, Kadena Air Force Base, Okinawa Japan from 1978-1984, Misawa Air Force Base, Japan from 1984-1988 and Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii from 1988 – 1992. Thomas served numerous tours in Thailand supporting the Vietnam War from 1968-1975.

He married Kazuko Miyagi and together they lived in Roy Utah for the last 34 years.

He enjoyed traveling, fishing, coin collecting, and fighting his grand dogs Jack and Lola.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Kazuko Miyagi Reed; son, Thomas G. Reed, JR. of Roy, Utah, daughter-in-law, Jovelyn Ledisa Reed and granddaughter, Adrianna Yana Reed both in Antipolo Philippines; brother, Bill Reed and numerous nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his older brother, Gene Reed.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 W. 5600 S. A memorial gathering will be held at 4:15 p.m. at the Midland Ward Building, 3776 W. 5375 S., Roy, Utah.
