Alan Condie

December 14, 1946 — February 8, 2023

Thomas Alan Condie (Tim)

December 14, 1946 – February 8, 2023

Alan passed away in his sleep and returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. Alan was born December 14, 1946, in Ogden Utah to parents Thomas A and Irene Chugg Condie. Alan grew up in Ogden with his two sisters. He attended Ogden High School and Weber State College (University).

Alan loved to tell his grandkids about jobs bagging groceries, pumping gas and building homes. He worked at the IRS as a computer analyst for 35 years. He also was in the Army Reserves for 30 years.

He met his wife Jean at Weber State. They were married on May 21, 1971, in the Salt Lake Temple. They were married for 51 years. They lived in Clinton for five years. They have stayed friends with the "Clinton Gang" for 48 years! They built their home in South Weber and have lived there for 46 years.

Alan’s hobby of woodworking was very rewarding. He has made many very cherished items for his family. He had a very impressive workshop and spent many happy hours there. He loved camping with his family, fishing with his best bud Vern Peek, Ryan and his grandkids. He was great at fixing almost anything. Always did his own mechanic work, until his later years. His wife never had to call a repairman. He loved to golf and made a hole in one in Star Valley.

Alan and Jean owned a spot in Star Valley RV Ranch, Wyoming and enjoyed many happy times with their Star Valley friends. They were also snowbirds to Arizona and California for ten years. Alan took his friends and family on many “Big Al Adventures”. Jean would pack food and drinks since she never knew where they would end up or how long they would be gone. The worst was he didn’t even know either.

Alan and Jean went on a mission to Martin’s Cove for two trek seasons in 2008 and 2009. They loved their mission. Alan’s life was service to whoever needed him. He loved to be able to help. He enjoyed serving in the church, which included Weber State singles stake and South Weber singles ward as a clerk.

Alan is survived by his wife Jean (Kendell), Heather, Ryan (Kara) and Lisa (Adam) Bussberg. Alan’s grandkids Taylor, Tysen, Jaxon (Condie), Sadie, Brylee, Ryker and Hadlee (Bussberg). Sister’s Carolyn (John) Delamare and Margaret (Richard – deceased) Chamberlain.

Preceded in death by daughter Lindsey Condie, parents Thomas A and Irene Condie.
