Thomas LaClede Bingham Jr., 81, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 in Redwood City, California from heart failure. He was born December 22, 1936 in Ogden, Utah to Thomas LeClede Bingham and Margaret LaVon Brady and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In 1955 he joined the Air Force and was based at Loveland Air Force Base in Texas. He met and married Nancy Andersen in Redwood City, California. He was a loving father and raised 7 sons.They were his pride and joy and he enjoyed every minute that he could spend with them. He was known as an entrepreneur and owned and operated his own sandblasting business for 35 years in California. He loved to hunt, collect guns, and to work and restore his antique motorcycle. He took great pride in his classic corvette.
He is survived by six sons, Troy, Trek, Brad, Chase, Thomas, and Ricky (stepson). He also helped to raise his grandson, Austin. He is survived by nine grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Rod Kirton, from Roy, Utah; and one sister Carole Keil, from St. George, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Marlee Barrett and his son Chad Bingham.
Funeral services will be held at on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, at his request, he will be buried next to his mother and grandparents at the Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
