It is hard to say goodbye. It is okay to hurt, and it is okay to cry. Hold the memories close, even as goodbye feels impossible.
Thaddeus Alan Clifton—known to many as Thad, Buddy, Budman, or Uncle Bud—passed away on January 19, 2026. While his pain has ended, the grief of those who loved him has only begun.
Thaddeus had a deeply unique sense of humor and a playful, silly spirit that brought laughter to those around him. He had a huge heart, and his love for his children was never in question. He was the best dad, a son, a brother, and a friend.
Thaddeus was born to George Alan Clifton (deceased) and Midge “Arvila” Casper.
He was married to Mindi Hill on April 1, 2000. Together, they welcomed six children: Hailey (Garrett), Raistlin, Mary, Riley, Kitara, and Amelia.
Thaddeus is survived by his granddaughter, Olyvia; mother, Midge “Arvila” Casper; sister, Jeni Smith; and his brother, Brandon (“Boo”).
Per Thaddeus’s wishes, there will be no formal services at this time. Cremation will be private, and a family gathering will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
