Terry Don Tedder Together Again
OGDEN- Terry Don Tedder passed away on Thursday February 9, 2012, at his daughters residence. He was born August 13, 1922 in Ardmore, Oklahoma son of Louis C. Tedder and Mable Gertrude Thomas Tedder.
He was raised in Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas. While stationed at Hill Air Force Base he met the love of his life Helen Bitton and were later married in Columbus, Kansas on December 3, 1945
He entered the Air Force, answered the call for our country on October 15, 1942, and served in North Africa and Italy, in the 319th Depot Repair Squadron. He started working for the Ogden Union Railway and Depot Company in July of 1947. Later he transferred to the Southern Pacific Railroad and retired in 1981 after 34 years of service.
He enjoyed the time being a member of the Utah Bottle Club. He ran an antique store in Willard during the Centennial Celebration of the Golden Spike. But most of all he enjoyed his endless wandering on the deserts looking for treasures or as his wife called it junk.
He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and was a friend to all he met and was loved by all.
He is survived by his one daughter, Teresa A. (Bill) Anderson, Ogden, Ut.; one son Terry L. (Kathy) Tedder, Ogden, Ut., five grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren with one on the way.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen, parents, one sister, two brothers and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday February 16, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Roy Christian Church, 4347 S. 1900 W. Family will meet with friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 W. 5600 S. and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, West Weber Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded.
